Peer Review & Font Research

Welcome back to another blog, today we're going to look at other people's blogs and the research they did.

My classmate Luz chose to research the magazines "Dogster" and "The Bark" which as you might be able to tell by now are two of the magazines I chose. Clearly, Dogster and Bark are both great dog magazines. So this part should be brief.

What really caught my attention from Luz's blog post

The fact that she used text wraps throughout her blogs and they are set up very nicely, definitely something I will keep in mind.
This is a screenshot from another blog, but it shows how she develops her thoughts and she gives a detailed explanation of her understanding.

I  think her content is extremely adorable and we're both doing pretty much the same thing, the same concept. Her idea of a holiday issue is extremely adorable and I  considered it at some point but I    changed my mind.

As for her fonts, I  have considered cursive but I am not entirely sure, however, these are pretty cute.

I have been jogging down some ideas as I discover new things and this is what I have so far.

My masthead will be all lower-case and will be serif font and bolded. I am only considering one title at the moment but it could change.

I did some research and included pictures of possible fonts I might use.
This fonts are all pretty similar which shows my certainty with the type of font I want to use.

I am aiming to have 3 cover lines and mention 1 feature. In total 4, similar to the Dogster magazine. I feel like with 4 interesting ones, you intrigue people to want to read more. I also want to give more attention to the main picture.

The font for my cover lines will change to capital letters and it will be sans serif, to differ from the masthead but bolded as well. I want the masthead to be unique and a sense to differentiate it.

The language won't be formal but it won't be too informal, just casual.

For my table of contents, I will include, I will divide it into departments but I am still debating how many and what to call them.
