Reflection on Photo Shoot Day
Photo Shoot Day
Day 1
The day I had set up my photo shoot wasn't all great. My boyfriend wasn't able to show up. I had to do it alone and Mia was not groomed because the guy that does it was out of town. Mia was very still and calm which went well for me, I was able to take a few good pictures. Thankfully Mia decided to get on the sofa, which provided me with a almost perfect solid background.

Day 2
The second attempt for photos started off with Mia inside the house and I took some pictures of her on a different sofa, this time she was all groomed and looking cute.
Until... she took off her bows nearly minutes after being groomed. I didn't let that discourage me and I continued with the photos. After catching some pictures inside, I moved to the backyard to capture some pictures of her with my cat. Again, same struggle was finding the right time and trying to keep her still but overall it went well. This time I had my boyfriend helping me out and he would feed Mia and even the cats some treats so they would be interested in us.
Day 3
The last, and final day of photos occurred at my friend's house. He let me take some pictures of his dog and I did the same process, started inside and moved to the backyard. The difference with his dog is that she's a calm puppy, I was able to capture pictures of her in a very still, very professional way.
Helpful ideas from my research
From my research I learned that taking pictures with a higher angle allows you to show more of the background you're trying to emphasize and a better view of Mia's full self, from a lower angle which I also used to show Mia's face which provides a different perspective of her. In the picture we get to see her face better rather than if we normally saw her from a higher position when you can't really see her face too well.
