Editing Pictures for Cover

Hey guys, I'm back and with some bad news :(

First Try
I underestimated the art of photo shop and I actually struggled... like a lot. This is how far I got in hours with the help of my brother who was as clueless as me.

As you might be able to tell, it still isn't perfect. First I had to crop Mia out of that background and put her into a solid pink one. Then, I had to whiten her fur since she looked a bit yellowish.

Turning Point

I talked to a few of my classmates and asked them for advice and tips. Two of them are very knowledgeable of Photoshop and were able to help me come up with a better background and look for the cover. They struggled as well to crop the edges of my dog from the background and it is because its too out of focus. I had my doubts on whether I should just change the picture and make it easier for myself but I decided to stick to my gut and keep the same.

Trial & Error

After trying out different backgrounds I chose which one I wanted to use. I found this one online by googling vertical pink backgrounds. This one fit my cause perfectly because the gradient helps my title stand out more since its bright pink and the top part of the gradient is whiter than the bottom.

Finished Product
This is how it turned out when I changed the background, although it is not perfect I am proud of it just because I was stressing and doubting it so much and it actually came out nice. I want to to take a moment to give credit to my classmates Kevin and Maggie for helping me out and taking some time for me. :)

Before we move on

I also googled a picture of social media logos to include in the bottom left of my cover to shout out my magazine's social media accounts. I edited a pink background into it which was the color of my initial background. However, when I changed background I didn't change this, I was going to but it didn't look bad so I just let it be.

Moving on to the TOC.
